Director: Devin Glischinski

Length: 12-hour four-week workshop

Class Notes: This course includes a pre-class homework assignment.

It really doesn’t take voice-over students very long to figure out how much fun it is to have an acting partner, how much more alive and real your personal performance can be when you have another actor to work off of. And if that’s true (and it is), then this workshop is destined to be wall-to-wall genuine joy. Devin’s dynamic lesson plan that includes commercial and character scripts will become incrementally more challenging as the weeks progress going from partner improvs and full dialogue scripts to wild-lining, the art of performing one side of a dialogue when the other half is not on the script. During the last week your imagination will be paramount as you perform your wild-lined script with confidence knowing you now have the ability to “hear” the other role even when you’re on your own. And by strengthening your dialogue skills you ultimately strengthen your monologue skills, since surprise… every monologue is an internal dialogue in disguise.
